What is Calendula Oil (Organic)?

Calendula Oil is beneficial for dry or chapped skin and has been used for centuries to support skin recovery. Additionally, Calendula Oil can provide relief for stiff muscles.

This oil is made by steeping the dried petals of the orange-yellow calendula flowers (Calendula officinalis) in organic and cold-pressed sweet almond oil. The oil consists of 20% Calendula extract and 80% sweet almond oil.

Benefits

Promotes skin recovery

Calendula Oil softens rough and chapped skin, making it ideal for people who spend a lot of time outdoors, exposed to the elements. The oil stimulates blood circulation in the skin and promotes the natural defense system of body cells. The oil is also beneficial for dry and sensitive skin and suitable for use on the skin of babies and pets.

For muscle recovery

Calendula Oil has a gentle, warming effect that is beneficial for stiff muscles. By gently massaging the oil, tense muscles can relax, which promotes muscle recovery.

How to use it?

As a body oil

Use Calendula Oil as a body oil on dry or chapped skin. The oil is suitable for both the body and face and nourishes the skin deep into the pores. Apply the oil to clean skin, for example after showering or washing hands, so that the oil absorbs well.

In DIY care products

Calendula Oil is a wonderful ingredient in facial serums, as well as in lip balms, hand creams, and baby oils. Use it as a substitute ingredient for olive oil, sweet almond oil, or sunflower oil.

In the bath

Add a tablespoon of Calendula Oil to a warm bath and let the oil soften your skin. After bathing and drying, you will have a very thin layer of oil on your skin, which will protect and nourish you for the rest of the day.

What makes it so special?

The flowers of the calendula plant have been used for generations in skincare, as well as a natural dye. The flowers are edible and a delicious ingredient in salads.

Also fun to know about calendula: the plant tells you what time it is. If you watch the flowers carefully, you will see that they open every morning around nine o'clock and close again around three in the afternoon.

If desired, combine with another vegetable oil, such as fractionated coconut oil or Grape Seed oil. When combining, use up to 25% Calendula oil.

Please note: People who are allergic to Ragwort may be susceptible to calendula extracts.
