DIY: Reed diffuser for essential oil bottles

Make your own reed diffuser based on essential oil.
With a set of 1, you will receive: a bamboo top and 4 sticks.
Ideal for example in the bathroom or toilet.

After much experimentation with different recipes, our basic recipe (for a 10 ml bottle) is as follows:

1. Fill about 2/3 of your bottle with alcohol.
2. Add approx. 20 drops of essential oil and stir with one of the sticks, so that the essential oil and alcohol are mixed together.
3. Fill the bottle further with a neutral carrier oil, for example fractionated coconut oil, and mix your entire blend well.
4. Twist the bamboo ring onto your bottle and insert the fragrance sticks. After a few minutes, you can turn the fragrance sticks upside down to diffuse the scent into the room.

Please note! The bamboo tops fit perfectly on your old/empty oil bottles of both 5 ml and 15 ml. Unfortunately, they do not fit roller bottles.

If you don't have any empty (oil) bottles, order separate bottles, such as the 5 ml or the 10 ml. Also compatible with the 30 ml glass bottles. A 10 ml bottle is used in the photo.

Reed Diffuser Neck & Rattan Diffuser Reeds for Essential Oil Bottles

Diffuses essential oils directly from your essential oil bottles with this diffuser neck, which fits 5 ml and 15 ml bottles. The neck is made of bamboo wood and comes with rattan diffuser reeds.

Make diffusing easy and portable with this set – perfect for personal use or as a hostess gift. The packaging includes instructions and recipe suggestions.

You can use coconut oil as a carrier, but we also recommend a non-toxic diluent. This not only enhances the scent but also helps to reduce the evaporation of your essential oils. Diluents and coconut oil can be easily ordered on the raw materials page.

Instructions for use:

1. Remove the cap and dropper from your essential oil bottles.
2. Screw on the diffuser neck and place the diffuser reeds into the bottle with your chosen essential oils/blend and carrier/diluent.
3. Allow the scent to absorb for a few hours and occasionally flip the sticks to refresh the scent.
4. Place your diffuser upright in the desired location.

These cute reed diffusers are the perfect addition to small spaces or workplaces, such as a toilet/bathroom or desk. Also ideal as a thank you for a hostess or as a token of appreciation.
