Baking soda - a true all-rounder

You might use baking soda in the kitchen for baking or as a natural cleaning agent, but did you know you can also use it as an ingredient in a DIY deodorant, bath bomb, or toothpaste?

Baking soda is a 100% natural mineral salt compound with natural purifying properties. Due to its high pH value, it has a cleansing effect and can also increase the pH of your homemade recipe.

How to use baking soda

Baking soda absorbs moisture and has a cleansing effect. It is therefore a great ingredient in a DIY deodorant!

You can make a bath bomb by mixing Baking Soda with Citric Acid.

Baking soda has a strong degreasing property, making it very suitable for degreasing greasy surfaces and materials. However, it cannot be used on aluminum surfaces as this may cause rust.

Baking Soda can also be used to adjust the pH of your homemade DIY recipe. To increase the pH, mix water (90%) with 10% baking soda. Add this drop by drop to your water-based DIY cream until the desired pH is reached. The ideal skin-neutral pH is around 5.5.
