More about rose water

Rose water has been used for centuries for its beneficial properties and originates from ancient Persia. Traditionally, it was used to improve digestion and as aromatherapy.

The water, which is a byproduct of rose essential oil production, has a deeply hydrating effect on the upper skin layers, calms and strengthens your skin. It helps restore the natural balance of sebum production, making rose water a wonderful toner for oily skin and blemishes. Due to its strengthening and toning properties, it also helps refine pores and smooth the skin.

Usage

Due to its pleasant scent, because it is incredibly mild, and to allow your skin to optimally benefit from this wonderful water, rose water is best used purely on your skin. Always test it on a small patch of skin if you have very sensitive skin. Use it, for example, after cleansing as a toner, as a hydrating spray on face and body, or in your hair. You can, of course, also use rose water in DIY lotions, masks, soap, or shampoo instead of plain water. Tip: for extra hydration, mix a small amount of glycerine with the rose water to retain extra moisture on the skin.
