DIY: Reed Diffuser for Essential Oil Bottles (5-Pack)

Make your own reed diffuser using essential oils.
When you buy a set of 5, you receive: one bamboo top and 20 reeds.
Ideal for the bathroom or toilet, for example.

After much experimentation with different recipes, our basic recipe (for a 10 ml bottle) is as follows:

1. Fill approximately 2/3 of your bottle with alcohol.
2. Add about 20 drops of essential oil and stir with one of the reeds, so that the essential oil and alcohol are mixed.
3. Fill the bottle further with a neutral carrier oil, such as fractionated coconut oil, and mix your entire blend thoroughly.
4. Screw the bamboo ring onto your bottle and insert the reeds. After a few minutes, you can turn the reeds over to spread the scent in the room.

Please note! The bamboo tops fit perfectly on your old/empty essential oil bottles of both 5 ml and 15 ml. Unfortunately, they do not fit roller bottles.

If you don't have empty (essential oil) bottles, order separate bottles, such as the 5 ml or the 10 ml. Also combinable with the 30 ml glass bottles. A 10 ml bottle is used in the photo.

Reed Diffuser Neck & Rattan Reed Sticks for Essential Oil Bottles

Diffuse essential oils directly from your essential oil bottles with this diffuser neck, which fits 5 ml and 15 ml bottles. The neck is made of bamboo wood and comes with rattan reed sticks.

Make scent diffusion easy and portable with this set – perfect for personal use or as a hostess gift. The package contains instructions and recipe suggestions.

You can use coconut oil as a carrier, but we also recommend a non-toxic diluent. This not only enhances the scent but also helps to reduce the evaporation of your essential oils. Diluents and coconut oil can be easily ordered on the raw materials page.

Instructions for use:

1. Remove the cap and dropper from your essential oil bottles.
2. Screw on the diffuser neck and place the reed sticks in the bottle with your chosen essential oils/blend and carrier/diluent.
3. Allow the scent to soak in for a few hours and turn the sticks occasionally to refresh the scent.
4. Place your diffuser upright in the desired location.
