More about Rosehip Oil
Rosehip Oil is also known as Rosehip Oil and is widely used for its strong pro-age properties. In particular, the high content of Pro-Vitamin A and anti-inflammatory fatty acids help support the skin, improve skin structure and fade fine lines. Scars and stretch marks can also be prevented and remedied by regularly applying Rosehip Oil.
The strong antioxidant action of these fatty acids helps repair damaged skin and hydrate it thoroughly. Rosehip Oil is therefore an excellent oil to naturally treat dry skin. The oil is a great moisturizer and feels wonderful on your skin!
In addition to all its nourishing properties, Rosehip Oil is an incredibly fine product because it mixes exceptionally well with essential oils and carrier oils.
How is Rosehip Oil made?
Rosehips are the fruits of a rose bush and contain dozens of small white-yellow Rosehip oil seeds, from which a beautiful orange-colored oil is obtained. Although the orange color may be slightly yellower or redder depending on the pressing. The oil has a lovely earthy and warm scent. The refined version has a lighter color and is completely odorless. This oil is cold-pressed and unrefined, meaning no high temperatures are used during pressing. This way, all the valuable properties of the seeds remain intact.
How to use it
Apply Rosehip Oil to cleansed skin so that the oil can be properly absorbed. Massage a few drops into the skin until the oil is completely absorbed. The oil has an orange-red color and can therefore best be used as a night care product. Do you want to use Rosehip Oil during the day? Then mix it with a base oil. Rosehip oil can be used for your face, but of course also for the rest of your body. It is also a wonderful ingredient in a DIY Body Butter or Facial Serum.
You can also use the oil as a hair mask. Massage the oil through your hair and leave it on for about 30 minutes. Then rinse your hair and use the shampoo and conditioner you normally use.
Please note:
- Do not heat Rosehip Oil above 40 degrees. This oil is very heat-sensitive and will oxidize at too high a temperature.
- Rosehip Oil has an orange-red color. Mix it with a light base oil to (temporarily) prevent an orange skin tone.
